A Gnu's Tale!

Late one afternoon whilst sitting around drinking tea in the beautiful palace gardens the princess suddenly disappeared, right there in front of everybody's eyes!

There was a great amount of commotion as all present turned to each other and started to ask questions?

"Quiet Everybody" bellowed the king dressed in his lord snooty outfit.

His shirt and jacket strained under his buffalo chested girth.

"Search every corner of the castle" said the king!

After a several hours searching into the night the king was ready to send out a search party when.........

All about the castle a whistling noise could be heard coming from the sky as if from a great distance.

Then, slowly at first a light appeared and seemed to get bigger and bigger building in size as the whistle got louder and louder!

The bright light flew past the stunned guards stationed on the battlements and then with a great splash and a fizz it made contact with the water in the garden pond and the light was gone!

Palace guards stormed the gardens and surrounded the ornate pond on all sides.

The surface of the water had almost settled, when with a great gasp the water and silence was broken by the sight of a lone Knight.

It struck the king that this was the gasp of a knight upon which the gods had shown favour and spared his life on this day!

"Explain yourself" the King boomed.

Short of breath and weary from his long distance air travel Gnu explained how he had come from the outer edge of the kingdom. Where a small group of evil wizards were making copies of themselves and taking over the land.

It was these same wizards that have taken the princess!

The king tasked Gnu with the mission to save the princess and sent him out to battle his way to the wizards palace.
