WhirlArt is a digital version of the popular 60's 'Spin Art' painting toy.WhirlArt - fun for the whole Family!
If you are as old as I am, you may have spent many fun filled and captivating hours in front of the legendary "Spin Art" toy. Spin Art was a battery operated device originally made in the 60’s. It had a plastic tray and inside a spinning platform upon which you attached a piece of paper. You turned it on and the platform spun around at a high speed. The idea then was to drop paint on it and see the pretty designs that ensued. Mine usually started out awesome and but quickly degraded into a gray blob. At that point we would take off the protective tray and splatter the walls with paint. You get the idea.
WhirlArt is my attempt to reproduce these fine experiences in the digital realm. While it is certainly not a true reproduction, it does have some fun and interesting qualities. If you make a mess, you can "undo" it. And you can also save models of your art "in action" and send them to your friends.
