Become a Martial Arts Master and Fight Side by Side With a Goddess!Blood and Jade is a new browser-based MMORPG set in the popular Warring States period in China. The game is brought to us by R2 Games, who have also brought us games such as Lunaria Story, Crystal Saga and Wartune.
The game has many fun features, such as an interesting mount system, the ability to call forth epic Goddesses to help you in battle, and the chance to campaign against other players for leadership of the Empire or other Official titles. Because the game is browser-based there is no required download and when that is combined with the great auto-pathing, this makes for a great game to play on the side while doing other things. All-in-all, Blood and Jade has almost all the fixings to be a great casual or hardcore experience, depending on your preferred play-style.
Skills
Blood and Jade offers a wide variety of skills which allow for a slew of battle styles to choose from. Apart from being either passive or active, skills have five different kinds of target areas: single target, small cone, large cone, line and burst.
Learning Various Skills
· Blade Skills – Unlocked automatically upon reaching the required level.
· Dragonmind Skills – Available upon reaching the required level and activating the required Dragonmind star.
Upgrade Skills
Keep in mind that many skills must be manually upgraded; this can be done via the Skill panel [hotkey S]. You will need to have reached the required level and have enough Copper and Chi to upgrade a skill. At higher skill levels, guild DP and/or other materials might also be required. Upgrading skills takes time and has the potential to fail, the higher the skill level the harder it is to upgrade.
Skill Hotkeys
Open the Skill panel and click on the skill you wish to assign a hotkey to. Next click on the slot of the respective hotkey you wish to assign the skill to. Skill hotkeys are as follows: 1 to 7, Q, W, E. You may also click on any skill’s icon to set it your default skill. Double-clicking a monster will cause your character to use skills to attack it at the longest possible distance.
Mounts
Impress your guild mates by riding throughout the lands of Blood and Jade with a variety of available mounts.
Mount stats will provide stat boosts to your character, with higher level mounts offering improved bonuses.
Leveling your mount is easy as it will level up as your character does. Depending on the mount, certain mounts may have level limits. In order to further level the mount, you will need to evolve it to a higher rank. Evolving your mount requires Mount Evolve Pills and Copper. For higher ranked mounts, there is also a character level requirement. When you fail to evolve your mount, you will gain mount blessing, which improves the success rate of mount evolution, however you must note that mount blessing is reset daily at 24:00 (Server Time). Mounts also have equipment and skills. Mount skills are buffs that temporarily boost your character’s stats. When evolving, mount skills are kept, with higher ranked mounts having more skills.
Goddesses
The Goddesses are extraordinary women of the Warring States era that enter the character’s life at various intervals of the adventure as indispensable aid and companion.
Goddess Recruitment
Upon entering the game, you will be joined by Lady Sang after completing an early quest. Use hotkey P to open the Goddess interface. Other Goddesses will require you to complete various quests, events, or grow in power. The higher your rank, the more likely a powerful Goddess will join you.
Goddess Stats, Bonding, and Commune
Goddess level and stats rise in conjunction with the Character. Goddesses joining the player later in the game become increasingly more powerful and can permanently increase Character stats. Daily Bonding numbers are limited, so do not waste your chance to grow in power. When the daily Bond limit is reached, use the Commune function to continue permanently boosting Character stats.
Goddess in Battle
When Goddess enters battle with a Character, the Goddess interface will display that she’s in battle to the left of her icon. Goddesses can only be switched to when she has full HP; a resting Goddess’ HP recovers on its own until she’s ready to battle once more.
Goddess Abilities
Each Goddess possesses extraordinary abilities which can aid the player in battle and cut down enemies where they stand. As you meet more Goddesses with more skills, it is important to use the right one at the right time. Some are more adept at supplying support while others can cause great damage in battle. Goddess will not act when unprovoked and only unleash their skills when the character attacks or is attacked. Monsters will not attack the Goddesses on your journey.
During PK, a Goddess can be overwhelmed. Goddess HP is relatively low, if they die in battle, you lose a valuable ally.
During PK, defeat your opponent’s Goddess to weaken them considerably.
