This is learning in 3DThis is learning in 3D. Do the impossible. Travel where you want. Understand Everything.
SUNRISE VR takes learning into real-time 3D.
Virtual learning is 3D learning without boundaries, a technology that allows you to step into an interactive environments full of information; visiting New York, exploring the human cell, flying through the Solar System, or traveling back in time to Ancient Egypt. Hundreds of free 3D virtual learning programs are available in Science, Anatomy, Astronomy, Religion, Landmarks, Art, Current Affairs, and History.
3D simulations put us inside of subjects in real-time 3D, helping us create a solid understanding of complex ideas. Virtual learning makes ideas easily accessible, an effort to make learning more relevant and engaging to today’s technology-savvy kids. It helps students bridge the gap between the concrete world and the abstract world of concepts and models.
When we experience something in real-time 3D it becomes clear. Real. Complex ideas become accessible. If you spend a few minutes in our programs and still don't understand... then we didn't do our job.
Click. Smile. Explore. It’'s as simple as that. SUNRISE virtual learning programs open up into a new window.
How to Use:
1) Move your mouse to look around,
2) Use arrows to move,
3) Click on signs for information.
4) Have fun.
3D Learning, Investigation, and Simulation
3D learning is designed to make subject matter more engaging to today’s technology-savvy kids, and help them bridge the gap between the “concrete” world and the abstract world of concepts. As students experience complex subject matter in real-time 3D it becomes much clearer. Students learn best when they are actively immersed in subject matter from a variety of different modes and viewpoints; 3D simulation is designed to help students visualize difficult ideas and objects through investigation at any scale (atomic, cellular, planetary, conceptual, etc), and visiting environments to do things that would normally be impossible.
Functional Notes
If you see something in red you can probably click on it
For ease of use collision detection is not used often, so you can go through most 3D objects and even the ground
The school library can request and access programs (free) through the Beta program at www.sunrisevr.com for off-line use via PC and Mac if there is no internet connection
Technology
The patent pending SUNRISE window is a 3D platform which allows immersive environments to be accessed over the internet enabling millions of users access to 3D learning programs. Virtual environments now become a seamless part of the Chrome online experience.
