An excellent classic of platforms in which using three Vikings have to defend an entire village. Take these three nice Vikings to the end of each level without missing any of them along the way.
The Lost Vikings is an intelligence arcade game in which we will have to control three Vikings, each with its characteristics, that with your help will be able to surpass all levels. To change players, press the 'Q' or 'W' keys. To perform the actions available for each player, press the 'A' and 'S' keys. To move our characters, use the arrow keys. Use the up arrow to trigger things or read help directions.
In mid-1992 Interplay published The Lost Vikings, the brilliant creation of the modest and still unknown (at that time) software development team Sylicon & Synapse.
The launch was initially made for the SNES console, although the good reception it had by players and criticism led to the appearance of versions for Amiga, Sega MegaDrive and PC in 1993 and Game Boy Advance in 2003.
With an initial aspect of classic arcade game, The Lost Vikings brought important novelties to the genre as it is to have to control three different characters to overcome levels and the possibility of exchanging objects between these characters. The main key is the cooperation between the three protagonists, in mixing their different abilities to get to the end of each level.
It tells the story that an emperor with name of dressing for the macaroni (Tomator, valid the sky), coming from the extraterrestrial world of Croutonia had the whim of creating an interspatial zoo. He crossed the galaxies looking for attractions for his tourist complex and when passing for our planet he noticed in three hardened chicarrones of the north that were in full day of hunting, to give to eat to their respective families. Neither short nor lazy, the evil alien Tomator abducts our three Vikings in the middle of the night and transports them to their spaceship.
After the great introduction full of fun animations, the arcade game begins with the three Nordic friends locked in the spaceship of Emperor Tomator. Each of the protagonists is in a different area and has different obstacles ahead to be able to reach the exit. But let's make the presentations of The Lost Vikings, as the good education sends.
At first, we have Erik the swift, the fastest warrior capable of ramming walls and enemies. With his prodigious jumps, he is able to reach inaccessible areas for his friends.
We also have Baleog the fierce, the best swordsman in the kingdom and owner of a certain skill with the bow and arrows. It is the terror of the enemies, their attacks at a distance are fearsome.
And finally, Olaf the strong, who with his shield is able to block any attack and use it in addition to plan in the jumps. You can place the shield horizontally or vertically, in this latter way it also serves as a platform so that the other protagonists can climb to places that alone could not reach.
