We are the team of the professional researchers with the main jobs and experience in various Jewish organizations. First, we’ve learned Jewish history, traditions, connections and we have participated in different seminars and programs connected with Jewish self-identification. Later, we’ve started all kinds of projects related to Jewish cemeteries protection and attempts to safe any kinds of Jewish heritage. All kinds of Jewish organizations constantly have numerous requests from the people who are trying to find their lost relatives, documentations for the Chupah (Jewish wedding ceremony) or just interested in their family’s history. Within the framework for any organization it is impossible to answer such requests and that is why several separate commercial projects were established.
Part of the incomes from such projects are aimed to support the projects related to Jewish memorials protection, codification and fixation, including written memorials such as archive documentation. Also, part of the incomes goes to the Pogrom’s history researches at the territory of modern Ukraine and attempts to immortalize memory of more than 200000 Jews killed during pogroms at 1881-82, 1905 and 1917-21`s, including my grand-grandfather named David Nemirovskiy, let his memory be blessed.
Why we are?
At the Ukrainian market we have numerous companies related to genealogical researches. Their main problem is that they do not understand anything at Jewish history and they do not have and connections to Jewish communities that sometimes are very important to the burials` research or leftover relatives search. But knowledge of Jewish history is necessary to the rapid verification of the family legends and sorting of any remaining documents. Moreover, there are lots of parished registers or any other documents that don’t have local language records but only Yiddish or Hebrew records that we know how to read.
