Google Drive does not have a built-in HTML viewer for non-public html files. MemoDepot HTML Viewers targets to fill in this gap. Some features include:

* Safe. HTML are rendered in sandbox with Javascript completely disabled. For older browsers that do not support disabling Javascript it will show a warning and stop functioning.

* Files are directly loaded from Google Drive to browser without going through any 3rd party server, eliminating any privacy concerns.

* Other than Javascript, other HTML features are allowed, including images, links, CSS etc.

* Read only. A different tool, MemoDepot HTML Clipper, is designed to save HTML clipboard to Google Drive.


How to use it:

* Install this app from Chrome Web Store
* Open a new Chrome tab, and click the "MemoDepot HTML Viewer" application in the apps list
* A pop up will open asking for permission for reading your files and installing itself to Google Drive. Click yes. If you are not logged in to Google you will be prompted to log in
* Save some HTML file to your Google Drive (you can use another app from MemoDepot, the MemoDepot HTML Clipper, also available in Chrome Web Store, to quickly copy and paste HTML contents to Google Drive)
* Right click the HTML file in Google Drive UI and select "open with/MemoDepot HTML Viewer" to view it. A new window will open with your HTML rendered inside
* You can also go to your Google Drive's "Settings/Manage apps" and click the check box next to MemoDepot HTML Viewer to make it your default viewer for HTML files. This way you can simply double click any of your HTML files to view it in MemoDepot HTML Viewer
