Virtually navigate through the Colorado Rockies along Forest Service Roads overlayed on an interactive topo map.Roads in the remote areas of Colorado are always changing, and can range in quality from relatively smooth to almost impassible, even to highly modified vehicles. Because they are managed by the Forest Service to provide access for both recreation and industry, while at the same time protecting the forest, the continued existence of old roads and the addition of new ones, seldom has anything to do with condition. Explore these roads using an interactive terrain or satellite map that shows not only which ones are open to vehicles, but also their color coded condition. Users can rate roads by the type of vehicle that reasonably access them, as well as report closures and roads that no longer exist. Coordinates, derived from either a movable marker or the center of the map, can be displayed as an aid to navigation. Always consult Motor Vehicle Use Maps for regulations concerning these roads and to verify their official status.

1/25/2015: Added and updated roads in all Ranger Districts. Satellite imagery is now available at all zoom levels, which can be very helpful for determining road complexity and when verifying details on the terrain map.
