YouDeemIt is a social tool created to give our kids a sense of responsibility while browsing the web.YouDeemIt is an extension created for kids browsing the web autonomously, without any adult telling them what is safe for them and what's not.

YouDeemIt extension enable users to see a very quick and simple information about the page they're looking at: a green, yellow or red badge. They respectively correspond to safe, problematic or unsafe contents.

Rates of every single web page (URL) result from an average on every user's vote.
Besides choosing between the three badges, users can optionally give more details on their vote (picking one among those proposed by the system).

YouDeemIt is developed by a very tiny group whose project, Deemeter, was started by web ux designer Laura Ancillotti.
We decided to call it "parental advice system" in order to distinguish it from the many parental control systems already present on kids safety on the web panorama: YouDeemIt doesn't block any content, its purpose is to give an information and let kids choose and make their decisions.
It's up to them staying away from less safe contents, rather than looking at them and then freely and openly discuss them with parents back from work.
