Cryptocurrency (bicoin, litecoin) exchange rate in BTCe marketThe extension allows you to watch bitcoin and altcoin rates on BTC-e exchange in real-time in any browser tab (as toolbar icon). There are price of all currencies in the popup window. List of currencies is customizable.
The information is taken from btc-e.com directly.

>Why is it safe to use the extension?

Google Chrome grants to its extensions a limited set of rights, which is requested during the installation.

For example, there are cookie files that store some authorizing info. This is particular kind of access, beware of it. All the rest is relatively safe.

"BTCe Bitcoin Rate" extension requests only the permissions to use the site btc-e.com for receiving currency rates.
