Overrides the nerdist to look like steam, the live area has not been written yet. By Jeffrey Albert ( Follow me @MonkeyRevenge42 )This is an extension that transforms www.nerdist.com to look like steam. It was created for a contest collaboration between Valve and The Nerdist. It is not perfect as I only had a week, but most things are functional. Unfortunately as I began to run out of time the code would get progressively sloppier, I hope to clean it up at some point and implement other features.
Current bugs/issues
* If the main page does not show any featured items in the main scroll area you need to add a '?grid' to the end of the URL bar. I plan on fixing this problem today (1/25/2013)
* The 'Live' page is currently not available due to time constraints
* You cannot post comments on news articles at this time
* The news feed link doesn't work
* Due to the strangest way EVER to perform pagination on their podcast episodes page; I was unable to implement viewing older podcast episodes of a specific series. (For some reason it uses javascript to intercept the url click and sets a cookie to determine what page you are viewing. This also means that the page I show is going to be the last page viewed without the extension)
* Sometimes the advertisement doesn't appear. (note the advertisement is pulled directly from the nerdist and supports them, NOT me)
There are many other minor issues, but it is mostly functional at this point
