RightClick google translateThis app adds an Item to chrome's context menu when you selected a text then you can click on it to go to translate.google.com and see the translation of the word. You also can change you default language from option page.

The toolbar you mentioned as SPAM (I agreed that and now it's removed) was suggestion from a site to make it profitable. I didn't know what they wanted to do with that. I recover the extension so It's not SPAMing now and It's not doing anything with your privacy (it's secure now. You can see the code on github: https://github.com/ahmadalli/ChromeGTranslate/)
