[email protected])The goal of this research project is to measure the impact that personalization has on your search results.
In short, we are going to run Google searches in your browser with the help of a Chrome extension. We search for 80 pre-defined search terms in 4 different ways. We are comparing queries with and without your cookies and over secure connections versus NoSSL.
The risk to you, as a participant, is minimal. We are collecting anonymized data on the search results from Google. No identifiable information (names, Google IDs, cookies) is sent to our server, and as a result, these values are not recoverable from our data.
