A lightweight extension to add high resolution backgrounds to your new tab page.Spruce up your new tab page!
This lightweight extension adds a regularly updated, randomised background to your new tab page, while leaving the top sites and bookmarks bar intact.
Spruce extends the normal new tab page instead of overwriting it, so all your normal features are still available.
Go to the extension's options to add a keyword to filter backgrounds to your desired subject, change the image quality (especially useful if you have a slower network) or to choose how often the background should change.
If you have an idea for a feature or update you'd like to see, drop a message through the support tab and you might well see it in the next version!
