A news engagement project with the Future of News Initiative at the MIT Media Lab and the Emerson Engagement LabNewsPix is a browser app to deliver photos and stories from the Berkeley Beacon straight to your browser screen. Every time you click the “new tab” button on your Chrome browser, a new picture from the Beacon will appear, with a link to a story.

NewsPix is a tool that was created in a collaboration between Matt Carroll and the Future of News initiative at the MIT Media Lab, and Catherine D'Ignazio from the Emerson College Journalism Department and the Emerson Engagement Lab.
