Efficient and user-friendly player for Twitch.tv website.Advantages of the “Twitch 5” player in comparison with the Twitch.⁠tv player:

• Less stops during playback: if necessary, the player's settings can be tuned to your Internet connection.

• Instant replay of the last minutes of the live broadcast, optionally with reduced speed or frame-by-frame.

• Allows to watch the archival broadcasts without cuts (with music) within about three days of their record.

• Takes up less RAM.

• Live broadcasts will not be interrupted by commercials.

• Clean and simple interface.

• You can colorize the player interface to your liking.

• You can completely disable the chat: it will not consume computer resources, and you will not be in the viewers list.

• Rapid start-up of the player. This is especially noticeable on slower computers.

Disadvantages of the “Twitch 5” player in comparison with the Twitch.⁠tv player:

• “Whispers” are not available.

• Due to Chrome limitations, the extensions which enhance chat are not working in the “Twitch 5” player. An exception is made for the “BetterTTV” and “FrankerFaceZ” extensions.

• The “Twitch 5” player supports (yet) only live broadcasts. For videos the Twitch.⁠tv player is used.

Extension does not work in some browsers, such as “Chromium”, that do not support H.264 and AAC.
