LifeDashboard POCWe let you easily define & track value within your Gmail inbox. Rather then navigate between the inbox and another productivity tool, Life Dashboard tracks action items & notes relating to your email conversation, while linking them to that conversation for future reference.
In Life Dashboard, "Targets" are action items that ideally have some value for you (either "opportunities", "threats", "knowledge", "todo", etc.). You easily create a target by clicking a button, as well as add text from the email conversation and link to that target. You see a list of open targets at all time on the right Life Dashboard pane right in your inbox.
If you use Gmail for work (like us!) then 80% of your business value is linked to email conversations. By defining targets and linking to the email, you see a prioritized list of action items, and as you mark them done you see a track record of your productivity and business value created historically.
This means that you can look at a date 8 weeks ago and see the targets created and executed on this day, with links to their relevant email conversation.
Hope you enjoy Life Dashboard, please let us know what you think.
Real users’ feedback on how Life Dashboard has helped their business execution:
"I wanted to see what was done last week 2/28 - 3/5. The information is buried under hundreds of emails. Tell me the actions that were done?"
"When sending an email, press a button to track it, creating target and track it on my journal."
"Keep track of business value I’m creating while I work, but do this without leaving the inbox"
"Have a todo list inside your inbox, so many times things get dropped without it"
“how many times did I ask my coworker to do X?”, I can’t take it off my list… But I won’t forget because it’s there in LD.
Another example of a task buried in emails (3 days = 300 email conversations later) – that is a Threat and will explode if forgotten, which it was. But it was on my Radar, on my Target list – in red. And I asked about it in time.
Here’s another thing I do regularly but have no place to track – hours worked per deliverable, and billing them.
How do I figure out how to bill this? What other tasks were done and need to be billed? Anything almost done and forgotten? Show me recent tasks in context and keywords per Cotact
the desire to close the target made me check it. It took 3:30min and I had an email with screenshot closing the issue
This was actually useful – I wanted to see all targets for a resource - so I can bill the client.
Cool.
My manager sees a clear improvement today in raising the number of executed targets to 15 and the number of active down to 29.
Very important tool – this is blazing a trail that connects and leads to the execution of a dozens tasks and a major strategic objective. Emails like this are the needles with which disparate resources unite to produce value.
