IDesignSpec gDocs is an engineering tool that enables you to create correct-by-construction hardware specification documents.IDesignSpec gDocs is an engineering tool that enables you to create correct-by-construction hardware specification documents. It is an add-on for Google Docs that enables you to create intelligent hardware specification documents, consisting of templates that you can fill and further to generate various output files.

There are two main components of the tool - One is the add-on that you install in Google Docs (and soon to come Google Sheets) and the other is a command line tool called IDSBatch. The add-on to Google Docs helps you create intelligent documents that are ready to be transformed into various outputs. This component is available for free from Agnisys. The IDSBatch reads the Google Docs or Sheets and generates various desired outputs. It is available in three different flavors - the basic, professional, and advanced. Currently the basic version is available for free.

IDesignSpec can generate these outputs from the specification: RTL (Verilog, SV, VHDL, SystemC), Verification (UVM, SystemC, etc), Cheaders, HTML and Industry Standards like IP-XACT, SystemRDL etc. In addition, you can even write a custom output generator using Tcl.
