In classroom situations it can be difficult for children to ask for help with concepts they're struggling with for fear of ridicule from their classmates.
quiz:bit provides a simple, easy to use, anonymous voting system designed for the classroom that can be used to gauge comprehension of a topic, their opinions on "how cool minions are", or even how interested they are in the current lesson!
Use quiz:bit to carefully craft questions for your class to answer. Your class can then vote using their own micro:bits connected wirelessly to a micro:bit relaying messages to your computer. quiz:bit analyses these votes where they are anonymously counted and displayed on the screen in real time.
To use quiz:bit:
1) Download the QuizMaster.hex and Quizzer.hex from: https://lancaster-university.github.io/microbit-docs/resources/quiz-bit.zip
2) Flash any number of micro:bits with the Quizzer.hex file - these will be for your voters.
3) Flash one micro:bit with your Quizmaster.hex file . This micro:bit will relay messages to quiz:bit from other micro:bits.
4) Launch quiz:bit and wait for it to detect your connected Quizmaster micro:bit.
5) Edit your questions & answers.
6) Click 'Start Vote'.
Quizzer micro:bits will display letter options once a vote is underway. Use the A and B buttons to cycle through the letter options and press them both simultaneously to lock in your answer.
