Guzinta Math: Fraction by Fraction Division focuses on the reasoning behind the invert-and-multiply rule and presents different strategies for fraction division as well: including simply dividing across (yep!) and determining equivalent fractions and then dividing the numerators. Students also use fraction multiplication and division to calculate the volumes and surface areas of different rectangular prisms in a variety of contexts. Finally, students briefly investigate calculating the mean, median, mode, and range of numeric data sets.
