Download your GmailYour Gmail account has some of your most important data – messages, files, photos. But your data can get deleted, or you can lose access to your account. You need a way to make a copy of your data that's simple and trustworthy.
Simple: opening Gbrella gives you a list of labels used in your Gmail account. Select the one you want to copy, pick an output destination, and press the download button. A file in Internet standard mbox format or a set of eml messages is created. If you choose, you can then encrypt that file with your preferred tools and store it. Or, you can create a new mail account with Gmail or another provider, populate the account with your retrieved messages, and be back up and running in no time.
Trustworthy: Gbrella never asks for, uses, or stores your Gmail password; access to your account is authenticated with Google's OAuth verification service. Your message data is returned from Google's servers directly to your browser over the encrypted https protocol. Your Gmail messages never go through a third party website, and no data about your account or your messages is stored on a third party website. There is no additional account that needs to be created. The basic download functionality is free. More advanced date-filtering features are available as an in-app purchase.
